Ericsson and Proximus Join Forces to Reinvent Belgium’s Indoor 5G Experience

In a move set to reshape Belgium’s indoor mobile connectivity landscape, Ericsson and Proximus have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at supercharging 4G and 5G coverage inside buildings. The deal brings Ericsson’s Radio Dot System — one of the world’s most advanced indoor small cell solutions — into the hands of Belgium’s largest telecom operator, addressing the surging demand for high-performance, reliable indoor mobile data services.

As mobile data consumption increasingly shifts indoors — where it now accounts for the majority of traffic — operators are racing to close the performance gap between indoor and outdoor networks. Enter Ericsson’s Radio Dot System, a discreet, high-performance, energy-efficient solution designed to deliver seamless 4G and 5G connectivity inside enterprise offices, public venues, and commercial complexes.

The newly inked partnership will see Proximus integrate Ericsson’s technology into its growing portfolio of enterprise and consumer indoor solutions. The aim? To guarantee consistent, fast, and stable connectivity for customers, while future-proofing networks for the explosion of 5G use cases and API-driven applications already on the horizon.
